Hands-on Laboratory Bootcamp for Cell Therapy Biomanufacturing

This five-day, expert guided hands-on laboratory training course is designed to train you on laboratory techniques and best practices essential to cell bioprocessing GMP labs. You will be working in a GMP-like lab to initiate, maintain, scale up, and cryopreserve adherent and suspension cells using aseptic techniques and under GMP guidelines. You will learn the entire cell product manufacturing workflow and perform cell product safety and characterization assays.

COURSE CONTENT

  • GLP/GMP lab safety and operations
  • Operation of essential lab equipment
  • Evaluation of cell quality in culture
  • Techniques for growing, harvesting, and cryopreserving cells
  • Large-scale cell production in bioreactors
  • Cell safety testing (e.g., endotoxin, mycoplasma)
  • Cell characterization assays (e.g., apoptosis, protein/cytokine assay)
  • GLP/GMP documentation and reporting
  • Updated Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) under GHS

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Apply GLP and GMP standards in cell culture labs
  • Operate lab equipment for cell culture and cell product manufacturing
  • Maintain and evaluate cell quality in cultures
  • Perform cell expansion, cryopreservation, and downstream assays
  • Ensure safety and quality of cell products, following proper documentation practices
